Contacto EA8BFK-CT1HZE en 10 GHz

Hoy me escribió Peter, EA8BFK comentando su contacto con Joe, CT1HZE en 10 GHz.

yesterday, 7.8.2013 at 14:35 UTC I could make my first 10GHz QSO from EA8 to CT1.

The distance between CT1HZE in IM57NH and EA8BFK in IL38BO is 1075 km.

Joe used 2W and a 50cm dish, I used 10W and a 75cm dish. I had to use 3m of Aircom+ to the feed and so lost abt. 2dB.

There is a 2m and 70cm beacon in IM57PX (CS5BLA ) which is a good indicator for me. When the 70cm beacon is better than S5 there is a good chance to make a QSO on 10 GHz also.

At the time of the QSO Joe heard my CW 55 - 58 QSB and we switched to SSB . His report for me was 55 and I heard him 53.

I hope for more QSOs with stations on the peninsula soon .
