Parece que la IARU empieza a preocuparse en el asunto, la lastima es que solo mencione la violación del segmento de bandas durante los contest, cuando aqui ya se nos permite la utilización de toda la banda de 160. No seria mucho pedirles que tambien se preocuparan el resto del año de la violacion del segmento de banda por los distintos operadores miembros de los paises a los que pertenece la IARU REGION 1?

It was disappointing to notice that numerous contest stations from Region 1 violated their national regulations by transmitting out of band during last weekend's CQ World Wide 160-Meter SSB Contest. While I can have some understanding that the IARU bandplan for top band is not followed during this major contest, I totally disagree that contest stations transmit outside bands allocated to the amateur service. For a station transmitting in LSB on 160 meters this is below 1813 kHz (for transceivers with carrier readout).
The amateur service has always been known as a self regulating service, which has helped us in our negotiations with administrations. A behaviour as shown last weekend will certainly not help us in the future. I call upon all contesters to reinstate our values.

En efecto, hay gente que, como no tiene NI IDEA de cómo funciona su radio, creen que cuando el dial marca 1810,00 pueden salír ahí en LSB. Alguien les tendría que explicar (con una denuncia y una sanción, claro, porque si no, no entienden...) que LSB significa, en román paladino, BANDA LATERAL INFERIOR y que , por tanto, sus señales se extienden POR DEBAJO de 1810,0
Y no sólo eso. También podríamos decir algo sobre las limitaciones de potencia. Pere éste es un tema vidrioso y mejor dejarlo para otro rato...
